Description of voyage Departs Disembarks
GR271113

The voyage to Cape Verde Islands is approximately 800 sea miles, we estimate a week at sea. Therefore the majority of this voyage is on the ocean waves, with the trade winds behind us and the sun getting hotter. Fishing, watch systems and bread baking is what it is all about. This voyage is for those who want to experience life at sea and stumble upon islands with a taste of the African continent. Time in the Cape Verdes will be limited.

Join us for Christmas, New Year and an Atlantic crossing ! We aim to leave Cape Verde promptly as the passage is approx 2000 sea miles and we estimate to be at sea for 14 days. This should leave a few days to relax in the West Indies on arrival. This voyage is for those who want to experience a long ocean passage in the trade winds, the same route that the trade ships used to sail . Crew will be fully involved in the running of the ship. You will take part in the watch system and cooking and need to be healthy, fit and active !

This is the old route home following the North Atlantic current, the same route the trade ships sailed. This is a challenging voyage for those who like the idea of being remote and isolated. The passage is 2500 sea miles and we estimate to spend 20 days at sea and the rest of the voyage relaxing in the beautiful Azores. Crew will be fully involved in the watch system and cooking. This is our longest voyage of the year, perfect for learning to use the sextant, building sea miles or escaping from the world for a month. Because of the length of voyage there are only 5 places available. Crew need to be healthy, fit, active and patient !

GR250614

A sailing voyage from the Azores to the UK. A good time of the year for a North Atlantic passage. Approx 1200 sea miles about 10 days at sea, so we will leave Horta promptly, sail through the islands and out to sea spending most of this voyage on passage. Great if you want to do some serious ocean sailing closer to home with only one flight involved.
