our canons and sails have arrived

It was a very exciting Friday when our 1000m of sailcloth arrived on this pallet and our 8 cannons came from Looe. The sailcloth is a material called Duradon and is made by British Millerain up north. It is a cream champagne colour. Can you beleive there are about 6000 sq feet of sails on that pallet they will never be that small again !!! Our cannons are made by Bob and Sandra Moore from Looe. They are made out of concrete and look like cast iron , it is only when you pick them up you can’t believe it..  Small , black and cute they will look grand. We will use French fire crackers which give a good bang as we found out on the slipway the other day. Looking forward to letting off a broadside ! All in all things are really coming together.

Grayhound's wood burning stove ready to be fitted.

Pictured here is our restored wood burner which will go into the galley area. As you can see the heart theme continues… thank you to Mick and Rose Hart for donating the wood burner.
